I CAN do this, but extra hands are great
On the days that I’m home, just me and the girls, it’s actually quite nice to have that alone time with them to get to know them and to get a few things done in between feeding them every three hours. It’s not easy, but I do it. When its just us there are no distractions during feedings, they stay calm and eat well. Then there are those times when they both need to be burped at the same time, and i will admit, burping a baby is not easy when you have two of them screaming at the top of thier lumgs in discomfort. This is when its nice to have an extra set of hands around when my husband is at work. A few weeks ago several of my best girlfriends came to visit. Jaclyn and Tiffany have their own little ones (Jac has one on the way!) and Michelle has plenty of baby experience.
It was great to have them around to help, to laugh with and to get to know our friendship again with this new set of rules. Jaclyn and Tiffany had plenty of helpful tips but never once made me feel like they had something to teach me. These are the girls that I ate lunch with on the sidewalk in front of the gym, that I broke formation with during graduation lineup for one final group hug of high school, who year after year are there for the celebrations and the grievances of life. They are the honorary aunts of my children and one day we will take that beach trip with all of us and our families. Cheers to friends who you have know longer than you haven’t. Thanks for coming, I loved having you.
Ps. B2 we missed you ; )

So sweet– it made me teary to read. Love those girls.
I love you Julie! You are such an amazing friend, woman, and mom. You make me proud and your words make my heart happy. Looking forward to watching all the exciting things unfold in 2012, I’ll be on your side every step of the way!
Julie, It’s been so much fun following you through this amazing experience. Watching the babies grow and change has been so cool.
