But I do want to tell you about my very nice voting experience. My polling place is on my way to work, this was my first time going to this polling location since last year I didn’t vote. EEEK, I know bad, but I had two two weeks olds and half a face.
This year I expected to wait in line for a bit and would be a little late to work. Since I was voting I knew it wouldn’t be a problem. When I arrived there was NO line! Literally not a single person waiting to vote. I handed over my ID, filled out my voter slip and went to pick up my SIM card. At this station the lovely volunteer asked if my middle name was my maiden name, I confirmed it was and them she asked where I was from. When I said Greensboro, NC she gasped and asked if I knew a Mollie. I told her that was my aunt. She was so excited and told me how she and my aunt went to high school and college together. She asked how Aunt Mollie is now and I told her that she was living happily in Florida enjoying the sunshine and golfing with her husband. She was so happy to hear such good news. And asked that I tell Aunt Mollie this whole story.
Our conversation took a few minutes, and there was still no one waiting in line after I cast my ballot and left for work.
