Let them eat cake
This past weekend we celebrated our friends daughter, Ella’s 2nd birthday. It was such a great time, there were a bunch of little toddlers for the girls to run and play with. Birthday parties are probably my favorite activity to take the girls to. They love playing with other kids and at Ella’s birthday party the girls got to sit and eat cake with all the other kids. It was only the second time they have ever had birthday cake, the first being their own birthday four and half months ago and even then it was a lightly sweetened whole grain cake, not the sugar and butter decadence that was served on Sunday.
The girls thoroughly enjoyed it.
Talia nearly licked her plate clean, then got to work on Jordan’s.
And later in the day, Jordan found an abandon slice hiding under a chair and claimed it for her own.
I’m sure they will never for get what come after that happy birthday song again.
